Here are some tips that can help you handle your skin when it is undergoing a change.

* Instead of soap, try a moisturisng body wash. Soap removes natural oils and may make your skin a small too dry at this point of time.

* Don’t have prolonged baths because water could dehydrate your skin. This could leave your skin looking dull.

* Skin pigmentation changes during pregnancy. Your skin is likely to tan or turn red more quickly than normal. Protect your skin with safe sunscreen lotion, making sure to apply it on your face.

* Massage your tummy gently with a gel in order to keep the skin supple and relatively free of stretch marks. It will also prevent itching.

* Take care of your feet because they can get tired during pregnancy. Pep up your feet at the end of the day with a lukewarm wash

Some women get extra acne and pimples during pregnancy. You cannot take medication for this so wash your face with a fragrance free soap every morning and evening.

Apply an oil free moisturiser as a follow up procedure. Do not take any medication without consulting a doctor.

In case your stomach becomes itchy because of the stretching of the skin, apply a moisturiser or even a calamine lotion.

Remember, take care of your skin because it is the outer bag for holding the baby. It has to be maintained carefully to deal with the stress of childbirth.

Massage your tummy gently with a gel in order to keep the skin supple and relatively free of stretch marks. It will also prevent itching.
